We are recruiting on behalf of our client Cranswick Country Foods Watton. Our clients is a dedicated processing facility in Norfolk producing fresh pork sausages and added value meal solutions. Watton was originally a family business which was acquired by our client in 2009. Since then they have made significant investment in the site with state of the art equipment, installation of robotics to continuously improve efficiency's. Our client despite their scale, remains a local business with traditional values. With all that in mind our client are looking to expand the Butchery day shift team and have numerous immediate opportunities for Knife-skilled operatives for full time work Monday to Friday. Our Client is searching for successful candidates that are reliable, flexible, self-motivated and hardworking, to which could lead to a permanent opportunity.
Responsibilities include:
- Precise cutting of shoulder, leg and belly meat following onsite slaughter;
- Continuously checking the quality of products on the line;
- Complying with Food Safety and Quality procedures at all times;
- Following required work instructions and procedures;
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Possess previous butchery experience, preferably in Pork;
- Be able to work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Have a positive attitude and work ethic;
- Be able to work as part of a team;
We can offer:
- Rates up to £15.92 per hour for top grade butchers (depending on block test result);
- Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 18:00;
- Overtime payable for hours worked over 44 (up to £21.23 per hour for top grade butchers);
- Attendance bonus of £44 per week
- Immediate starts following completion of registration, bench test and induction;
