About the Role

Prestige Recruitment Specialists are currently recruiting an experienced and dependable Semi-Skilled Operative to join a well-established and growing business within the modular, portable and leisure building industry.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on industry experience who enjoys practical work and can confidently support the build, refurbishment and installation of modular units. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where quality, safety and teamwork are key.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carrying out semi-skilled assembly and refurbishment of modular and portable buildings

  • Supporting the fit-out and finishing of units, both internally and externally

  • Assisting installation teams with on-site setup and preparation when required

  • Completing a variety of basic trade tasks, including:

    • General carpentry

    • Plumbing assistance

    • Electrical support (non-qualified tasks)

    • General repairs and maintenance

  • Using tools and equipment safely and efficiently

  • Ensuring all work meets quality standards and health & safety requirements

  • Keeping the workshop/yard clean, organised and compliant

  • Working closely with supervisors and fellow operatives to meet project deadlines

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Proven experience within the modular, portable or leisure building sector

  • Ability to carry out semi-skilled tasks with minimal supervision

  • Strong understanding of health & safety in workshop and site environments

  • Reliable, hardworking and a strong team player

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience in one or more trades (carpentry, plumbing, maintenance, etc.)

  • Forklift licence or plant experience

  • Full UK driving licence
