Cranswick Pet Products in Lincolnshire is looking for warehouse Operatives. You will be reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor with a dotted line to Shift Manager the area of responsibility is the Factory yard and surrounding product sheds outside of production , safely, to the required finished standard, as effectively as possible. MON- FRI / NIGHTS.

Main Duties:

  • To pick orders from a pick note and ensure they are correct and ready for dispatch.
  • To load and unload trailers as specified by the load plan or delivery note.
  • To make sure product is correct and free from damage and contamination.
  • All product to be stored in relevant area.
  • to be responsible for all corresponding paperwork.
  • Ensure records are being completed accurately so that product is produced to safe, quality, and legal standards.
  • To ensure the yard and surrounding sheds are clean and free from debris.
  • To ensure deliveries have been received via goods in log.
  • Ensure all transfer logs have been completed at the time of transfer.

 

Accountabilities of Health and Safety: 

  • Compliance with current H&S legislation
  • Proactive approach to H&S
  • Support the management team in site safety inspections
  • Ensure compliance to all H&S and procedures and RA.
  • Safe handling of chemicals on site.
  • Safe storage of chemicals on site.
  • To use chemicals and equipment as instructed.

Key deliverables expected are:

  • Zero accidents
  • Near miss completion and reporting
  • Zero errors
  • Area to be clean and tidy so as not to encourage SPIs, vermin and casual intruders
  • Specification of product as per paperwork
  • Clean and tidy sheds
  • You leave work in the same condition you arrive
  • You achieve the above, at the lowest possible cost by reducing waste, running the asset at the required speed, using your training and experience to resolve asset issues, and effectively escalating downtime for resolution by shift engineers
  • You work well with your peers and under the direction of the Shift Manager to undertake the above, and any other duties commensurate with the role.

  • To work in an Environmental and Energy efficient manner and to respect and honour the sentiment of the Cranswick Environmental and Energy policies and Second Nature principles
