On the 19th of January 2022, Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed that the Plan B measures in England would expire on the 26th of January 2022, and the country would return to Plan A measures in a national response against the Omicron Covid 19 variant.
From the 19th of January, the British government is no longer forcing people to work from home where possible. However, employers should instigate arrangements for having staff return to the place of work over the course of this time.
As well as that, from the 27th of January 2022, the British government is no longer enforcing the mandate of wearing a mask in all places, however, do suggest continuing the use of face coverings like masks in enclosed or crowded locations, especially if you would be in contact with strangers or people you would not usually meet.
Additionally, from the 27th of January 2022, organisations can continue to use the NHS Covid Pass voluntarily if they wish, but the mandatory certification will end by this date.
