In order to promote a positive and healthy workplace this week is Wellbeing Week here at Prestige Recruitment. We will be introducing new initiatives and offering workshops to staff.
Take a look below to find out about what is going and when.
Monday 30 September
We launch the week by starting our ‘healthy breakfasts and snacks’ week. From Monday, there will be 2 blenders in the office kitchen with a delivery of fresh fruit items from the market each morning.
Staff can choose to blend into a smoothie to start the day with a healthy breakfast drink or simply take some items to snack on during your day.
Additionally, from Monday we are introducing ‘book swap’. There will be a bookcase where staff can bring in any books they have read that are gathering dust and swap out. Browse the other books donated by team members and take to read. This is a great way to read recommendations without spending money!
Tuesday 01 October
Nuffield Health Club is coming to Head Office to see staff who have expressed interest in knowing their fitness levels, how to get fit, lose weight and keep weight off as well as a free 7-day gym pass.
Wednesday 02 October
Our local Natwest are coming in to hold a talk and presentation on managing personal finances. Sometimes, the worries of everyday finances, covering bills and looking to have enough money left to enjoy yourselves can create a little anxiety and worry. Amanda Smith (a community banker with Natwest) will be here to talk about ways to budget and explain how to make staff's personal money go further.
Thursday 03 October
The NHS City Partnership is sending an NHS Practitioner to our Head Office to carry out workplace health checks. As we are all busy and often don’t have time to book in with our own GP so this brings the GP to you! The practitioner will carry out checks on height, weight, diet, smoking, drinking and also do a cholesterol test with instant results. Any issues raised, they will be able to provide referral details to get more help and information.
Friday 04 October
The final day of well-being week is ‘flu vaccine day’. Last year our absence levels dropped dramatically over the winter period and we can only put this down to being prepared and having vaccines last year so, they’re back!
To close the week of events off, there will be a healthy lunch buffet from Nibble to be delivered. It will be a mix of sandwiches, skewers, fruit and cakes (couldn’t keep it 100% healthy).
