The upcoming 35th year milestone reflects decades of building trusted relationships, delivering recruitment expertise, and contributing to regional business success. In 2026, we aim to continue this legacy while broadening our reach, deepening our impact, and supporting communities, clients, and candidates alike.

Expanding Our Reach and Growing the Team

Reaching 35 years in recruitment is a significant achievement, reflecting resilience, adaptability, and sustained success in a constantly evolving industry. Building on this milestone, Prestige is expanding its geographic footprint with new operations planned in Goole, Doncaster, Norfolk, and South Bank.

As our business grows, so does our team. We are actively recruiting for Regional Business Development Managers and Appointment Setters, strengthening our capacity to support clients across multiple sectors and communities. This expansion ensures we remain responsive, relationship-driven, and well-positioned to meet increasing demand while maintaining the exceptional service and sector expertise that our clients value.

Built to Last: HullBID Awards & Humber Business Week

In recognition of our ongoing commitment to excellence, Prestige has put itself forward for consideration in the HullBID Awards 2026 – Longevity Award, celebrating organisations that have adapted, evolved, and continued to thrive over more than a decade. Having supported the HullBID Awards as sponsors and partners for many years, putting our name forward reflects our journey from a local Hull recruitment provider to a multi-region, award-winning specialist, built on innovation, strong values, and a people-first approach.

We’re also proud to support Humber Business Week 2026, which brings together regional businesses to share knowledge, celebrate success, and foster collaboration. Being part of this programme allows us to connect with the wider business community while contributing insights from our sector expertise.

Children’s University: Charity of the Year 2026

Continuing our partnership with Hull & East Yorkshire Children’s University, we are gearing up for an action-packed calendar of events that will inspire, challenge, and create opportunities for local young people. Highlights include:

  • Prestige Charity Golf Event – Part of our 35th-anniversary celebrations, with 18 teams invited for a day of fundraising, networking, and community impact.

  • Ultimate Challenge series – A variety of fundraising challenges Prestige team will be takin part in based on 4 elements: Earth, Fire, Air and Water. Those will include challenges such as: Skydiving, Get Cake and Firewalk.

Through these activities, Prestige team will be actively fundraising, participating, and volunteering, reinforcing our belief that encouragement, opportunity, and support can make a real difference for young people.

Supporting Local Sport and Aspiring Talent

In line with our community ethos, we continue to sponsor Cottingham Parks Golf & Leisure Club and Ganstead Park Golf Club, supporting local sporting initiatives that foster ambition, skill development, and wellbeing.

We’re also backing junior golfer Louis Danville, celebrating his achievements, including winning the East Riding Junior Order of Merit. Supporting young athletes mirrors how we approach talent development in recruitment: nurturing ambition, celebrating success, and providing guidance and opportunities to grow.

Staying Connected: Community Engagement and Visibility

Our Prestige Marketing Vehicle continues to be out and about across Hull and beyond, raising awareness of our services and making our team approachable to candidates and clients. If you spot us, take a photo and share it on LinkedIn or Facebook, tagging Prestige to show where the Prestige spirit is spreading!

UK Employment Law: Key Changes Coming in 2026

Several reforms under the Employment Rights Act 2025 are set to take effect in 2026, including:

Enhanced Rights and Entitlements

  • Day‑one parental and paternity leave – employees eligible from their first day

  • Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) – payable from day one; lower earnings limit removed

Stronger Protections and Enforcement

  • Whistleblowing protections – sexual harassment recognised as a qualifying disclosure

  • Collective redundancy protections – maximum protective award doubles

  • Fair Work Agency – new centralised body to enforce employment rights from April 2026

Trade Union and Workplace Relations

  • Simplified union recognition and electronic balloting

These updates represent one of the most substantial overhauls of UK employment law in years, requiring employers to review policies and practices ahead of April 2026.
