This year we are once again pleased to be hosting the Prestige '4 Friday’s of Christmas!' In addition to our charity appeal - we will be hosting special days across all of our branches.
Each Christmas, we donate to charities to help those in need. This year, we're collecting donations for Winner, The Preston Road Women's Centre, Hull Homeless Outreach LTD and RSPCA Hull. You can read more about this, and find out how your business can donate here. We chose to collect for the RSPCA this year in memory of our dear colleague, Julie Cunningham. Julie unexpectedly passed away last December and was a key member of the prestige family. She was always supportive of our charity events, even running the Hull 10K with us, and we know she was very fond of our furry friends of all kinds so we felt this was fitting for us to do on her behalf. We still miss her dearly but know she’d be chuffed to bits with the donations provided.
On our first Friday, we hosted Christmas hat day. All of our staff were encouraged to wear their best Christmas hat, we then judged all entries to pick the winners for best Christmas hat across each of our offices. This year, we had plenty of excellent entries, which you can see a small selection of below. The award for best Christmas hat went to Alexandra and Daniel!
We also hosted a Christmas card competition throughout Prestige Recruitment for the internal teams children or children in the family. The challenge was to produce the best hand-crafted Christmas card. Congratulations to Ala, the daughter of our fabulous overseas resourcer, Kasia, for winning this years Christmas card competition at Prestige! You can see Ala and her winning entry below.
Next was our annual Christmas Jumper day at Prestige, as part of our 4 Fridays of Christmas. As with the hat day, we also ran a competition for the ultimate Christmas jumper throughout our offices. There were plenty of entries into the competition for best jumper, including our Directors, but our winners were Gabriela and Jordan so a big well done to them. Some of our favourtie entries are below.
The last Friday was secret Santa across all of our offices. Secret Santa is always popular at Prestige and is a staple Christmas tradition. The festivities were just what everyone needed following a super busy December and a tough year.
Christmas for most people is a time of fun, laughter and spending time with loved ones but with the effects of the pandemic, it has impacted so many and changed life as we know it.
For the last few years, Prestige Recruitment have held events internally to raise funds to buy toys to take to those in need. This year we have changed tack a little to try and give to more people.
Find out more about the appeal, and how to make a donation in our recent article here.
