As part of a fantastic year for our hometown, Hull, The 2017 Freedom Festival will take place between Friday 1 September and Sunday 3 September and will be part of Hull UK City of Culture 2017. The Freedom Festival is an annual cultural extravaganza featuring music, art, theatre, dance and comedy from across the UK. Freedom Festival is the lasting legacy of the Wilberforce 2007 campaign, which celebrated the abolition of the slave trade, led by Hull-born MP William Wilberforce.
