Prestige Recruitment Specialists are recruiting for a Finance Assistant on behalf of our Client in Hull who are specialist manufacturers of premium poultry products for a number of high volume Customers/Supermarkets across the UK.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To assist with the maintenance and administration of the purchase and sales ledgers.
Site payroll processing and relevant HMRC returns.
Assist with the preparation of weekly management information and monthly management accounts.
• Ledger, bank and payroll:
o Post supplier and customer invoices
o Process goods received notes and prepare weekly reconciliation
o Prepare weekly supplier statement reconciliations
o Chase overdue payments and ensure general ledger maintenance
o Process weekly payments and perform weekly bank reconciliation
o Process monthly payroll and ensure all HMRC returns are completed
• Assist with the preparation of the weekly management accounts, ensuring that:
o Prepare weekly stock file to ensure that all stock is accounted for on a weekly basis
o Ensure that all orders have been placed on a purchase order and are included with accruals
o Ensure that all agency staff costs are accurately reflected in the weekly management accounts
• Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts, ensuring that (in addition to above):
o All accruals and prepayments are reported accurately
o Analyse GRNI to ensure that all costs are captured
o Perform cut-off reviews and all account reconciliations
o Prepare month end executive summary, analysing any variances from the weekly management accounts and providing clear explanations
• Additional tasks:
o Factory analysis, ensuring that costs of production are understood and correctly include in pricing products
o Ad-hoc project work
